first off, thanks to the lovely readyforever who was kind enough to pick me up both versions of the secret code pamphlet and the dome version of stand by u. SO PRETTY. *_* will scan all three eventually, but it will be after i come back from vacation. (will be back home from july 21-30)

followed by something i got a little while back but i wanted to post anyways since i've got a batch of stuff now. because show me shiny and i cannot turn away. in the case, i'm referring to tvxq korean fansite goods. i swore i'd never start collecting anything but official stuff, i know. but. see, the korean sites put together stuff that's just as good as (or better than, as you'll see if you keep reading) the official stuff. and it's not photoshopped beyond recognition. :/

i was late to get in on the preorder for these so i wasn't able to get the tshirts. luckily esmiux had ordered a couple extra of the books. :D the first two books i got through her, the last one i ordered directly through the site. yay for places that allow international orders! the menagerie helped me unpack. ^^b

sososo many gorgeous yoochun shots in this thing along with a few really cute and funny ones. yoowan takes amazing photos and while i wish the airport and street type photos weren't in it (they always kinda creep me out), on the whole it's an awesome book. it also came with a phone charm that i love to bits and a foldy uchiwa. :3

what? me? order a yunjae book? YES. i deliberated until the last possible minute (as in, i got in the bank 2 minutes before they closed the day it was due kind of last minute) about whether or not to pick this up. jaejoong and yunho are not my favourites but i figured i may as well get one book with the two of them. also, i loved the photos this site did for the mirotic concert and i've heard from a lot of places how good the eroyj goods are. i went in to this with high expectations. they were completely and utterly surpassed. this thing was more than worth the cost of the set and the shipping (that was one and a half times the cost of the book).

i admit, i am a total snob when it comes to books because of how much time i've spent scanning them and i have to say, the erotic book is by far the best quality book, paper, photos, extras, anything of any photobook i own of any artist- official or not. not only did it include the book (which is the same dimensions as the week holiday one, but thicker), it also came with a cute phone strap, two huge double-sided posters, and a dvd of hq fancams and fan videos (i am still spazzing over 'tonight' live and the amount of smexy jae belly on the purple line cam and the fanvids are love).

saturday: concert day

we went up to the venue early (around 3-ish) to stand in line since it was all first come for spots. then after we'd been there, we found out there was a very very short line up front for 21 and up. score! snagged goods on the way and i got the very last black t-shirt they had. ;P

then while we're standing out there, this guy comes up to me and starts asking me questions like why and how long i've liked korean music, how did i get into it, do i have the cds and how do i get them, what other artists do i like. turns out he's a reporter from the korea times (?). and he was taking pictures of the crowd and our group. >>;

once we got inside, we decided to sit up in the back so as to avoid being crushed, which ended up being a smart idea. everyone i've talked to that was in the crowd said it was crazy. the concert was pretty much a blur of awesome, and i know there'll be better fan reports from people that can actualy name all of their songs *cough*. i'm just happy we got this.


sunday: meet and greet

perfect timing. we got there at 11:30 or so and ran inside to buy stuff to donate so that we could get into the vip line and go in first. right around noon a ton more people started showing up. they did random contests and stuff, but we just hung out until the guys arrived.

when we got inside, they were only letting people have one thing signed so when i got up to tablo and:
me: umm... i know we're only supposed to have one thing but canyousignthistoo?
tablo: *picks up my anyband dvd* O_o wow, this is really rare.
me: yeah. ^^;;
tablo: *sees the sticky note they wrote names on* your name is really tabs? cause... mine's tablo. :)
me: *trying SO HARD not to facepalm* LOL, yeah. i know. :D thank you~

and by that time mithra and tukutz had already signed my book album and the staff was urging me out the door. :/

we then decided to head over to the bookstore in pal-do world where i cleaned out the big bang stuff they had and elise got the mirotic photobook. after we ate, we noticed that there were still a handful of people left so we wandered back to verizon just in time to see the guys leaving and say bye (and thank you). XD

another chapter in the life of failtabs:

so today when we got home, i went to water our aloe plant. we use the same big glass measuring cup to fill up the hot water heater next to the sink. not thinking, i filled it up to about halfway (ie. 2~3 cups) which is what i do when i'm filling the water heater. this is not the amount of water one usually needs to water an aloe plant.

a few minutes ago, elise went into the kitchen to get ice cream and comes into my room flailing 'changmin had an accident'. so i go into the kitchen to see that indeed, changmin did have an accident. *cue juvenile humor*



yes, our aloe plant is named changmin. because it strongly resembles changmin's hair in triangle. *is shot*

which brings to mind today's earlier conversation. on the way to taking elise to work, we pull up behind this gorgeous silver late 70's model corvette. the following conversation ensued over the course of the day, in person, through text messages, and again in person.
me: oooo *makes grabby hands*
elise: your car wants to have sex with that car.
me: uh huh. *_*
elise: is your car a boy or a girl?
me: not sure... a boy. i think. but it knows a sexy 'vette when it sees one.
elise: lol, you should name your car jae.
me: it'd be appropriate.
elise: your car's sexy enough.
me: yes. yes it is.
me: but it has too much of an ass to be jae.
elise: well, it definitely can't be yoochun then.
me: XD it's like jae in the front and su in the back. jaesu!

.....so my car is now named jaesu. ;P

got home from sakura con a little while ago, took a shower and completely ignored all the stuff we need to unpack. XD; i'll do it when i'm not about to fall over asleep. it was a really good weekend for the most part, lots of insanity, especially on saturday. i was happily surprised to have more people recognize us than i expected. the amount of double-takes was amazingly funny. as were the random surprised and shocked shouts of 'OMG DONGBANGSHINKI!?!?' and in a couple cases 'JAEJOONG!?! ...OMG IT'S DBSK!!'. met a lot of new people and made new friends. *waves to those of you on lj*

the panel this morning was all sorts of fail. >> so we got there a little after 10 (when it was supposed to start) and everyone was sitting outside the room which was apparently locked and the person who'd set up the panel was nowhere in sight. we eventully got into the room, but the coordinator was a no-show so we (read: jemz and nem, and sorta me) ended up taking over the panel and tried to start some discission. the whole thing was pretty much a clusterfuck. :x

i'm still going through all of my pictures (and those that everyone else has sent me) and i'm waiting on others, so it'll be a few days before i've got a full gallery up. 'til then, have a few select shots. :D

so the last month i've been a little busy. <--- understatement.

work was nice and easy for a couple days after i started in my actual building, then got supercrazyomg busy, and has since settled back down to a reasonable level. also, thanks to two particular coworkers, i've managed to see the following movies in the past three weeks or something: the hulk (edward norton ♥), prince caspian (youkilledmyfatherpreparetodie!), wall-e (omgmaclove), hellboy 2 (gorgeous), and will be seeing the dark night this weekend (imax baby).

explanation for everyone else: i work in one of the new skyscrapers in downtown bellevue. i'm on the 14th floor; our cafeteria is up on the 28th, where we also have this terrace we can go outside on. on a clear day, the view across the lake to seattle and the mountains beyond is quite pretty.

i now has jeans that are less than four years old. yay me. :Dv

one of the problems with moving from a decent sized house into a fairly small apartment is the severe loss of wallspace for shiny things. not to mention the fun of cramming all of one's belongings into a much smaller area.

this became something of a problem upon my most recent return from japan when i realized i was going to have to do some major rearranging to get that poster of ryu up. sooooo worth it. XD

so if anyone wants to see what my room looks like...

it's still a bit messy, and the reason you only see three walls is because my closet takes up pretty much all of the space on the fourth. and the koda kumi poster i got with kingdom.
