sowell freely admits she was very unhappy with where the manga seemed to be going last year so she wrote this as her response. How I wish she were whispering in Masashi Kishimoto's ear. :) There may be a few spoilers if you haven't kept up but nothing you won't get in most any Naruto Shippuden fic.

When Team Kakashi finally manages to capture their wayward member, Naruto tries to use the team's love (platonic) to convince Sasuke of his rightful place back in Konoha. Can you guess how well that goes over? Full of angst, angst, and even more Sasuke angst, When The House Falls Down takes the reader through the 'Sasuke dilemma' - how to save Sasuke when he doesn't want to be saved?- from Sasuke's POV. It's a delicious take on the Uchiha mind. Very in-character with some delightful insights, sowell has made me like Sasuke again while reminding me why I liked him originally when he could be such a 'teme'. And as a bonus, she gave us a sequel also. Great author, incredible readability, smooth style, if you have the time I recommend all her fic but especially try

i've been watching SHINee vids for the past like 79348 hours. well, like, 2. they are so crazy. i thank you, chii, for enlightening me with moar foolish boys. now i just need to learn korean.

i'm sore from doing nothing.

I SAW IT.

It was pretty good. I mean, it wasn't amazingly amazing, but it was good.

You kinda (really) get distracted from the plotline because of all the gore.

Speaking of blood, that whole movie was made of blood. Every two seconds you'd see someone's head fly off or smash into a wall. The first scene he cuts the head off, and the head part happens to land right in front of camera. The blood was really fake, though.

But, um. Rain looks better half dead. :'D cough. But seriously. He looked major hot in the last scene in the burning building.

And my favorite line. When he taken in by the SWAT team, and locked up. They were scanning his face, and the swat dude goes, "...he looks like he should be in the boyband."

Part of our theatre was cracking up going, "IF ONLY YOU KNEW."

There wasn't much speaking, but that was pretty much 98% of the movie was fight scenes with massive amounts of blood. (Seriously, half way through the movie I was like, "...is there even that much blood in the human body?") Rain's english, for when he did talk, was pretty good. Oh, right. The other 2% of the movie was flashbacks (that had fight scenes), and like... yeah. That's it."

So. I was probably rate the movie an 8, if I'm not biased. (If I am biased, 9.5?) Two points off for getting off the plotline, and for the lack of non-violence.

But I loved it, and yes, I would watch again.

Today, I somehow managed to start and finish a paper that was admittedly only supposed to be 3-pages ish with a secondary source of research (that I actually read) within 6 hours. This has like, never happened before. *AMAZED*

... okay maybe I did manage it before, for bullshitty essays for religion class in high school or something. But that was probably before the internet ate my whole existence and before I got into the habit of sleeping at 2 in the morning.

SO YEAH, ACCOMPLISHMENT. GO ME. I will now procrastinate on the 98621397 other things I have due next week.

In other news, I really like that bonus track off Adam Lambert's album. And I laughed so hard at his face while watching his video, but I question why he didn't do the shit he was doing in the music video instead of the hot mess he concocted at the AMAs. Hmm.

Not that Nika is ever impressed with much of anything besides carrots and the noise chewing on his bars makes.

Why this must be read: Sylvia Volk provides a long, plotty, historical fic. Taking place both in the past and in the show's present, Gogmagog is probably my favorite of the fics in this particular verse. You don't have to read any of the fics that take place before this to enjoy and appreciate this, but it is well worth reading the entire series. Gogmagog is a story about Immortal friendship, about love and answers the question of just how and why the Methuselah stone came about. Sylvia creates rich original characters, while delving into the pasts of familiar canon characters. Her imagined past for Methos and Rebecca is vivid and full and while this particular story doesn't provide the full background, the weight of their history is felt throughout. One of the nicest aspects of this fic is the illustration of the relationships and friendships between the Immortals and teachers and students.
