w-inds. live 2007.08.08 kanazawa


mousapelli and i managed to make it from osaka to kanazawa to our hotel without any major mishaps yesterday. got cleaned up after dragging our luggage around and then headed up to the station to catch a taxi to the venue i'm lazy and didn't feel like trying to navigate the bus system here. got there around 4.oo and got our goods, including raffle tickets depending on how much stuff you bought. sadly, even with the ton of tickets i got (hello, show me shiny goods and i cannot resist) i didn't win anything. but i have a new sticker for my laptop case. :3 went back outside and looked through the pamphlet (GUH) and other stuff and then went in when they started seating.

kanazawa hall is only one floor technically, but it goes up in the back so even where we were sitting near the back we had a great view. see~



random music before the show included red hot chili jalapeños peppers and nirvana, amongst other things. like w-inds., wtf. show started a couple minutes late, but we were certainly entertained with a ton of eyecandy beforehand. all of the ushers were incredibly cute. especially this one guy that stayed right in front of us for most of the time with short hair and a bleached streak running over his head. ;9

we considered using one of the little orange w-inds. 'eco' bags to put over one or two of their heads and bring them back to the hotel like parakeets. i wonder what the taxi driver would say? ^^;

the intro started with a mini light show and then a rotating brain (wtf?!) hovering on the screen that turned into a silhouette showing various performances, starting with thanks and working backwards towards first message tour clips. then the screen drops to reveal the coolest stage arrangement yet, srsly. poles. 0=) it was two levels with the door in the middle on the bottom, another platform on the top level, and stairs on the side (like thanks and first message kinda) but the way the lighting was set up was the freaking awesomest thing evar. the intro setup was done to look like a city street with stuff all over it and the door saying saying 'this is our show'.

then w-inds. comes out on the top wearing hats, red long jackets, and black pants.

this is our show
gaaaaaaah! *happy* totally in love with this song and it was super shiny live. then at the end the dancers strip the jackets off the boys, leaving them in the dark pants, grey shirts with 3/4 length sleeves and white collars/cuffs, black vests, still wearing the hats.

boogie woogie 66
random wasn't expecting this one again. the choreography was changed up quite a bit, mostly during the dance break. (the booty shake was still there ;9) now, when the show started i had this moment of 'but they're [ryuryo] on the wrong sides!' cause i could see the hair... then remembered ryo had just dyed his dark, which meant... blond... me: *squeaks* ryo had the top of his hair pinned back, too. so cute. :3 then during the part where they sweep their hands around their heads, keita accidentally knocks his hat off and scrambles to pick it up, pushing and tugging it more firmly on his head for the next couple bars of the song. then slings it off to the side a bit later. then ryu does the same thing and sdghsdshgdshdhdfhnfhgfgg. blond. half ponytail. straight bangs hanging in his face (which he kept pushing back the rest of the show) and so freaking hot. *_* next bit of changed choreography involved ryu being upside down and ryu and ryo being slung around by the dancers with their legs around their waists. XD

new paradise
both of us kinda went 'hwuh?' when this started. and then screamed. loudly. i was surprised at the amount of older stuff that they performed (but the poll on the fc keitai site probably had quite a bit to do with that). keita sounded really good, too. happily. ryu was so hyper all night and was overdoing most of the choreography, like posing on his toes. XD

-mc-
lots of talking i didn't understand, but ryu mocking keita and ryo was fantastic. he kept parroting back what keita said, then they both started doing a random bit of choreography from bw66 while ryo is getting water then standing there like 'i don't know you people'. then while ryo's talking, ryu sneaks up behind him and doing silly moves, stopping when ryo turns around, then starting back again. keita looking at him like 'wtf?' the whole time.

another days
another surprise, but a very happy one. all the same dance as when they were chibi, but somehow it looks amusingly adorable now. again, it sounded really good. *_*

-offstage-
spiffy light show while they went offstage to change, then the 'scenery' changed again to this matrix-y cityscape. next outfit was white jackets with an obscene amount of black and dangly bits over black tank tops. ryo had his hood up *eyes wifey* and keita had on a white hat.

top secret
pole. ryu swinging around down the pole. twirling. wow. um. keita spending half the song with his jacket off his shoulders. the song sounded much more rock-ish with a live band and more guitar. \m/ aaaand we're not entirely sure on when (but it was this costume) but there was some... ahem.. grabbiness by ryuichi and keita. >_>;

crazy for you
i think it was all the same choreography as the fc event, but i kinda lost it in a gigglefit when keita started singing the wrong verse and then forgot the words. :x why are you so cute when you mess up????

devil
um. hi. ryu and ryo. floor. this sequence (top secret, crazy for you, devil) so very much rivals the hush...!/1 or 8/sup wassup!! one from thanks for the sheer amount of hot. damn

-dance break-
starts with keita, doing a variation on his thanks dance break thing (he finally changed from the chibi dance, but apparently can't change too much from year to year) in just the jeans and tank top totally soaking up the attention of his adoring fangirls and showing off his arms. his.. err... dance... consists primarily of punching the air, flexing, thrusting his chest out, jumping while thrusting his chest out and flexing, and generally being... well... keita. *gigglesnort* keita goes offstage and ryu comes out on the upper platform (also in just jeans/tank top) for his, which included a half-flip and handstand turned one-handed walking handstand. o_o after him was ryo, in tank top and sleeveless hoodie, breaking impressively as usual. ryu comes back out for a short bit where the dancers throw him up in the air, then he goes back through the door.

is that you
after the dance break, the stage went dark for a few seconds and you could see people bringing out stuff: a stool on the lower right, a chair at the top middle, and a mic stand on the lower left. then keita comes out by himself to the mic stand in jeans, a white shirt, and sparkly black blazer and black fedora to molest the mic stand while singing. and dancing. kinda. well... it was kinda like hanamuke with the 'why is there a dance for this?'... then ryu comes out to sit on the stool and ryo comes out up top at the chair, both with the sparkly jackets, ryu in darker jeans and ryo with a black baseball hat. they stay there for a bit then rotate, keita goes up, ryu goes to stand in front of the mic stand and ryo goes to the stool. so, er, almost like sora wassit. ^^;; sounded absolutely gorgeous, though, and still one of my favourites off the album.

keita and ryu go on for a little while going 'riida sugoi!' over and over. XD and then keita says something retarded and ryo laughs, and keita points to the audience like 'they think i'm cool!' and ryo's like 'it's cause i'm standing next to you'. *pwnt*

hanamuke
sounded even better than before, imho. i still think the dance is lol, but it's cute. :3 ryu apparently got bored with the 'dance' because by the end of the chorus he was rocking out...while the other two were still doing the dance correctly...

hello dbsk. so after hanamuke they walk back through the doors, then a platform comes up through the floor on the second level with a big red couch on it, and the boys slouched across it, ryu on the left arm, ryo on the right, keita in the middle. all he needed was a pimp cane, i swear. stayed there for the whole song, ryu kept leaning over, getting his hair in his face, pushing it back, and repeating the whole process over and over (actually, that was pretty much for the entire show. *_*).

trial
it's trial. :D during which they showed photos from the pamphlet up on the backdrop. also, the jackets went away at this point to just the jeans and white shirts. mousie adds: the dance at the very end where keita waves the others on is her faaaaaavorite, even without the splashing.

tooi kioku
cute, nice and upbeat. choreography looked very like that of trial and yakusoku no kakera.

-mc-
starts off with keita going to get water and then ryu and ryo going back and forth and then starting a 'you go' 'no, you go' 'no, you go!' which was adorable. then when they're all out talking ryu is talking about the dance for another days and keeps demonstrating the box step, getting the keyboardist to play along. XD then they start talking about golf (and baseball? they said golf, but it looked like baseball swinging. *fail*), making swinging motions, at one point ryo 'catching' ryu's 'hit'. they mentioned an old show they were on where they played, and then keita's talking about some time when he did, acting it out. omgsocute.
keita: *makes furtive look around, bends over to pick up the imaginary ball and makes to toss it closer to the imaginary hole*
ryuryo: .....
ryu: sportsmanship janai!

love is the greatest thing
djgfdhfdhfdhtrdhtrdhtdhfd so much love. so completely adorable and awesome and amazing and lots of other 'a' adjectives. ryo caught the cloth this time and during the part where they're all dancing around keita he's in the middle doing a golf swing. *dies* then there's one part that was changed from the tv lives where the dancers and ryoryu are standing in a line at the back and do this thing where one of the dancers bops ryo on the head and ryo swings around and hits ryu in the ass. XDDD

it's in the stars
*flails* keita made the audience do a lot of the obvious and usual stuff, but that means he hangs out on the edge of the stage and bounces and box-grins at the audience constantly.

try your emotion
so many old songs!! all three were bouncing all over the place doing bits of the dance seemingly at will while bouncing.

-offstage-
so at the 'end' of the concert they go offstage, and after a couple minutes of the audience chanting 'encore' on the screens they have a slot machine thing going. the first four or so get nothing. like cherry/7/bar, w-inds./cherry/7, &tc. then it goes 'w' logo, then that again and the audience starts screaming and then the third one pops up a cherry and the whole place is simultaneously pwnt. "eeh?!" then it goes across all three and the encore starts. all in the con tshirts, ryu in black, ryo in red with a towel around his head, keita in white.

feel the fate
srsly. dead of cute x54567454364536543654. ryu and keita come out on the top level and ryo on the bottom. ryo's dancing while ryu sits on the edge with his feet dangling over, then keita comes and sits down against him while singing. at which point he puts his mic against ryu's mouth and lets him sing a few lines (yes. singing. and squeaking on the high note. kyaaaaa*flails*). keita flops back on his back on the stage with his legs still dangling off the top, ryu 'pulls' him back up with an imaginary rope over his shoulder. they both go down to the bottom and 'dance' around, being silly with the audience. keita borrowed a pair of bunny ears from a girl in the first row and wore them for a little bit before giving them back. at one point keita dropped to his knees in front of ryohei and held his mic up for ryo to sing into (again, lyrics keita's usually singing himself XDD).

kirei da
minor changes to the choreography during what is usually the stair dance and ryu was being difficult and retarded and had to be manhandled back into place by the dancers. sorry if i don't remember a whole lot on this because i was still recovering from feel the fate and then the next song utterly killed me and my vocabulary for hours. >_< mousie adds: no atobe snap! but lots of dork flail in place of choreography, which is how we all fell in love with w-inds. in the first place...

really short mc including ryohei standing there like a priss and letting the dancers towel his neck. XD

fire flower
wild and crazy and words totally cannot do this justice. went straight into the opening and everyone goes nuts swinging lightsticks and towels around, several of which keita 'borrows' to wipe his face off and gives back after he threw his own into the audience. god i love his voice all low and growly. *_* ryu and ryo are all over the place but keita pretty much stays on the lower level. ryu actually jumped the seven feet or so from the top to the bottom level. :O and then we have (in my very biased opinion) was the best part of the entire damn concert: RYU PLAYED THE GUITAR SOLO! the actual solo and getting keita to do the frets for him on the part before it. and sounded fucking incredible. everything after that was a total blur of omggggg...

-end-
no introduction this time, just the lineup. and then when they released hands ryu started doing a ballerina twirl and keita joined him. *dies* then as they went offstage, ryu waved and said 'bai bai', ryo waved, and keita stood at the edge for a few seconds doing the 'w' hands before bouncing off.


soooooo can't wait for this to be out on dvd and i hope to god the guitar thing wasn't a fluke because that needs to be watched over and over and over again. only a few more hours until tonight's show, where we'll be sitting third row. >D expect another report later, provided we survive. ♥
